Feeling like a general-purpose dogsbody

We bought a new vacuum cleaner this weekend. It's the Kenmore canister vac, the one rated #1 by Consumer Reports. It has HEPA filtration. It has onboard tools, including an upholstery attachment. It rocks six ways to Sunday. It was even on sale.

When we got it home and I put it to work, I was very happy with it. Then I realised I was getting all excited over a vacuum cleaner, and felt really old.

I still have a lot of sewing to do.
