Home Is the Sailor

The Viking returned from the swamps of battle yesterday, sodden and tired, but in one piece and otherwise well. He brought me a lovely falcon and an excellent book which reproduces the illuminations from BNF MS FR 616 in large and clear detail. I still need to find the edition which gives the text of the Livre de la Chasse, but having the pictures is very nice too.

The revisions to chapter 1 of The Mediaeval Roughshooter's Companion are up. It may be a couple more weeks before chapter 2 is ready to go online. Watch this space.
